Eleanor Roosevelt Memorial

Eleanor Roosevelt Memorial – Dedicated in October 1966 this memorial is the said to be the first monument dedicated to an American president’s wife. Located at 72nd Street and Riverside Drive.

Annual Tulip Festival – Each April the UWS is the home of the Annual Tulip Festivals where you will find over 15,000 blooms. The West Side Community Gardens is a privately owned garden run entirely by Volunteers. Located between Amsterdam and Columbus Avenues between 89th and 90th Streets.

Central Park – With a span of 3.5 miles/800 acres the park is larger than both the Vatican City and Monaco. Central Park is the most visited Urban Park in the U.S. welcoming over 42 million visitors annually.

Septuagesimo Uno Park – Located at W. 71st St. and West End Ave. is one of the smallest parks in NYC. Sitting on a plot of just 0.04 acres the park offers lots of greenery, a central walkway and some benches.

Congrgation Shearith Israel – Established in 1654 by Jews who immigrated from Dutch Brazil. This place of worship is the oldest Jewish congregation in the U.S. Shearith Israel was the only Jewish Congregation in NYC from its’ inception until 1825. Located at 2 W. 70th St. and Central Park West.

Joan of Arc Memorial – Located in Riverside Park and 93rd St. this memorial is the first statue in NY of a non-fictional woman, also the first public statue created by a women. The statue was dedicated on Dec. 6. 1915.
